Developing Science Via Innovation

All the pieces are now in place for the development of science in technologically science in technologically advanced world we know today. The chemical industry was born in 1830s making dyes and fertilizers and also plastics by the end of the century. The introduction of gas lighting and then electric lighting allowed for restless innovation and industry to thrive day and night. Telecommunications continued to advance with the telegraph giving way to the telephone and the radio. By the late nineteenth century many countries countries had extensive electrical supply systems, telephone networks, roads and rail roads. And the motorcar was beginning to make its existence felt, having been patented in Germany in 1886.
